Freelance Work

Below is a selection of freelance projects I’ve collaborated on over the past few years. These experiences have allowed me to refine my skills in creating sleek, user-centered designs while also working closely with a variety of different clients. Each project has helped me navigate different challenges, from understanding unique business goals to collaborating with cross-functional teams, all while enhancing my ability to deliver intuitive, impactful digital experiences.

Betting Hero is an online sports media platform offering tutorials, reviews, news, and insights into the sports betting industry. Since mid-2021, I’ve collaborated with their team on a range of different projects. My first task was designing a set of three mockups for their sportsbook reviews template. After completing these, I worked alongside an internal designer to refine the layouts and ensure smooth integration into their WordPress site using the Divi Builder visual editor. I also fine-tuned the code to ensure responsiveness across both mobile and desktop platforms.

Following that, I was tasked with creating web and mobile versions of their how-to videos. This involved using Divi Builder and code editing to design the pages, alongside Adobe Premiere for capturing high-quality stills from the videos. In addition to these core projects, I’ve also contributed social media graphics whenever my schedule allowed.

Although I’m unable to share specific process details due to the confidential nature of the work, you can view the final outcomes, including my sports book review templates or how-to webpages, directly on the site.

Jamma Lamb Studio Art

Logo for website that created custom dog toys and items

JL Studio Art was a business that transformed customer photos of their dogs into custom-painted products like towels, frisbees, and flags. I connected with the owners through a mutual contact and, over the next year, took on the responsibility of managing nearly all of the website’s technical aspects. This included tasks such as implementing custom user images, generating QR codes, optimizing SEO, designing pop-up ads and email campaigns, and managing their presence on Facebook Marketplace.

In addition to the design work, I maintained ongoing communication with the site owners, ensuring I fully understood their needs and was responsive to new challenges. Given the owners’ varying familiarity with web design, I took care to explain technical concepts in accessible terms. For instance, rather than simply recommending better SEO, I took time to educate them on its importance for website success.

While the website is no longer live, I’ve included a PDF I created for the email marketing campaign to showcase an example of the work we collaborated on.

Place Vendôme

Place Vendôme, a local hair salon I’m a regular at, reached out to me after discussing some of my design work with the owner during a haircut. The owner asked for help improving the salon’s website, and I took on several tasks, including editing photos to match the desired black-and-white aesthetic, creating a before-and-after gallery, updating pricing information, and refining the services page, among other small updates. While this project had fewer deliverables compared to others, the work I completed is still live on the website, which I continue to manage and maintain today.
